Tag Photo

I was tagged by Konie to post the sixth photo out of my sixth photo file. This is my brother Allen. He was in the middle of cooking for the Duch Oven International Championship. This was held at the anual outdoorsman show in Sandy. He held the title at the time of this cook off. It was a lot of fun wathing him. He is very talented and I have learned a lot from him about Duch Oven Cooking. He is a chef in real life.

Igloo adventure

Dylan and I went on a big adventure on Monday eve. We went on a hike to an igloo up Logan canyon. We left around 5:30 p.m. and hiked in about a mile to an Igloo someone had made. We got to the igloo around 7:oo p.m. Once we got to our destination, we fired up the stove and made our dinner. We had dehydrated meals, they were quite good. We boiled some snow and vaula... It was delish!! Yes, Dylan's nose is glowing. He pointed his head lamp down while the picture was taken.

We had to improvise for silverware, because we didn't have any. We tore to top off the package of the meal and used it for a spoon. It was all an adventure.

Dylan and I inside the Igloo. It was really "cool"!! We will have to build one next winter so that we will have our own little winter bungalow.

Dylan and I in our snow shoes. We truly had a blast!! It is a good thing that he is as adventuresome as he is. I got lucky. He is a good sport and seemed to enjoy every minute of it.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone. It has been a while since I updated my blog so I thought It was a good time to get it going again. I just had the last two weeks off from work and I must say, I feel like a new woman. I had a great time with my son and was able to spend a whole week with my family. We spent Christmas at my sister's home and it was a lot of fun. We came home the day after Christmas and then we took a trip to Salt Lake City and stayed at the Little America Hotel. We invited my nephew's to come along with us. We had a great time. Here are some pictures to show some of the fun things that we did.

"I Love Soccer"

Dylan enjoyed playing soccer this summer. He seems to be very coordinated and is a lot of fun to watch. I had a great time cheering him on and watching him do so well.

Trip to Zion's

This summer, Dylan and I went to Zion's park. We had a great time going on hikes and exploring all the cool rocks. We learned a lot about nature and even found a few lizard's. It was a blast!

Here are some more of our fall pictures we took last week. Dylan was quite a trooper and seemed to have a good time posing for all the shots. He seems to enjoy getting his picture taken.
